Tracy is from a little town in Souther-Eastern Indiana called Batesville. Her parents, Dave and Cindy still live in the house where she grew up. Her brother Patrick lives nearby with his wife, Jill, and two kids, Shelby and Eli. Tracy was outgoing from a very young age and after singing in concerts in grade school, acting in the musicals in high school she decided to get her degree in theatre at Northern Kentucky University. From there she went to New York and worked as an actor for several years before moving to Los Angeles in the summer of 2013. During her time in New York she met a lot of wonderful people, but most importantly her future husband, Ken.

Ken was born in Phoenix, Arizona, the lucky son of Dr. Kenny D. Hasija and Pamela Soper.

And yep, by now, you’re probably asking where the heck the Davenport came from?!?

We’ll get to that.

The family moved from Phoenix to Sturbridge, MA, home of the historic museum Old Sturbridge Village (Ken’s first job was at the Village) and one of the most popular Friendly’s in Massachusetts. Sturbridge is one of those places that as a kid you think, “How can I get out of here?” and then, when you grow up, you realize, “How did I get so lucky to grow up here?”

Ken’s parents divorced when he was five, and his mom remarried the best Step Father on the planet, Clarence “Bud” Soper. Dr. Kenny (as he’s called by everyone . . . including Ken), also met a wonderful woman, named Denise who Ken playfully referred to as his “surrogate mother.” And in what is the 8th wonder of the world, all four of them are great friends to this day, spending holidays together, watching Patriots games together. Dr. Kenny is even Bud’s doctor! Modern family has nothing on The Hasija-Davenport-Sopers. And Ken wouldn’t have it any other way.

So, to the Davenport . . .

Ken got out of Sturbridge and went to Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore intent on being a lawyer. But, since he spent more time doing theater than in class, he transferred to the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU to pursue a career as an actor.

And, since no on could pronounce or remember Hasija, he professionally changed his last name to Davenport (with his father’s blessing!), and it stuck. Ken switched to the other side of the Broadway business and started managing and producing theater (you could read all about that here.)

Since he was one of only four straight guys in the theater business, Ken dated a few different girls over the years . . . but never really thought he’d get married. He liked his alone time. And where would ever find a woman who would put up with how much he worked, and also loved buffalo wings and loved to play golf?

And then he met Tracy.

Ken has done a lot of things in his 41 years of life.

But he thinks his life is just beginning now.
